This book is based on the assessment of dasa-vidha pariksya (ten factors of examination) which make the foundation of the success of any venture. These have been described in Caraka Samhita in relation to panchakarma therapy itself. Here an effort has been made to incorporate all the required examinations needed prior to panchakarma treatment (like dosa, bhaisaja, desa, kala etc.) under these dasa-vidha pariksya bhava. Purpose of this writing is to throw light on the subject in a more practical and comprehensive manner that may beneficiate the physician during panchakarma treatment. Some of the concepts mentioned in this book may be found repeated in various places.
