Cycles reflect the whole routine

Many women notice that their cycle changes with stress, travel, sleep, weight and food. Ayurveda looks at the cycle as a reflection of overall balance, and it uses herbs such as Ashoka, Shatavari and Lodhra to support uterine health. A regular, comfortable cycle is a good sign of general health.

This guide covers everyday habits and explains where an Ayurvedic uterine tonic may fit. It is general information and does not replace a gynaecologist.

Eat regular, balanced meals

Iron-rich foods such as leafy greens, dates, jaggery, sesame seeds and pulses are common in Indian diets and are useful during the cycle. Include enough protein and healthy fats. Very strict dieting, or skipping meals for long periods, can upset the cycle.

Move and manage stress

Regular walking, yoga and stretching ease cramps and lift mood for many women. Stress and poor sleep can delay or disturb periods, so a steady bedtime and short daily breaks help. During your period, rest if you need to, and use a warm compress for cramps.

Keep track of your cycle

Note the first day of each period, how long it lasts, how heavy it is and any pain. Several months of notes help you and your doctor see what is normal for you, and they make it easier to spot a change.

About Mynofem

Mynofem is an Ayurvedic uterine tonic syrup (200 ml) that helps support women’s reproductive health, regular cycles and menstrual comfort. The pack lists Ashok, Shatavari, Lodhra, Manjistha, Kumari, Nagkeshar, Chandana, Draksh, Pushyanuga churna, Ajowain and Lavang.

Ashok and Lodhra are traditionally used to support the uterus and menstrual cycle. Shatavari is widely known in Ayurveda for women’s wellbeing. Kumari (aloe), Chandana and Manjistha are valued for their cooling quality. Ajowain and Lavang (clove) are traditionally used for comfort and bloating. The product page lists the dosage and pack information.

Making the most of your visit

Before you start Mynofem, write down the medicines and supplements you already take, any allergies, and any conditions you have been told about. Ask your physician three things: whether Mynofem suits you, how long to use it, and which signs mean you should stop and call. Bring the pack so the ingredient list can be read together. Ayurvedic medicines are meant to fit into your overall care, and your physician can adjust the plan if your needs change.

Habits matter more than any single product. Pick one or two changes from this guide, keep them for a few weeks and see how you feel. Small, steady changes are easier to keep than a long list.

When to see a doctor

See a doctor if periods stop for several months without pregnancy, are very heavy or very painful, last longer than usual, occur between cycles, or if you have unusual discharge, pelvic pain or fever. If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or nursing, ask your physician before you use any tonic.

These are Ayurvedic proprietary medicines for sale in India. Use them only under medical supervision. Read the pack label and talk to your physician before you start, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, have a long-term condition or take other medicines. This guide is general information and does not replace medical advice. Shipping across India is free, and you can see all Chaukhambha Healthcare medicines on our Medicines page.
