Digestion and the liver go together
In Ayurveda, steady digestive fire, called agni, is the base of good health. The liver is closely tied to it, because it helps process what we eat and drink. When appetite is poor, meals sit heavy or you feel sluggish after eating, Ayurveda looks first at food, timing and routine.
This guide covers habits that are often recommended and explains where an Ayurvedic liver tonic may fit. It is general information and does not replace a medical check.
Eat at regular times
A proper lunch as the main meal and a lighter dinner suits most people. Try to finish dinner two to three hours before you sleep. Eating at random times, or skipping meals and then eating a lot, tends to upset digestion.
Choose fresh and simple food
Seasonal vegetables, whole grains, dal, buttermilk and fresh fruit are the usual base. Limit deep-fried, heavily processed and very sugary food. Spices such as cumin, coriander, ginger and turmeric are used in Indian cooking partly for digestion.
Go easy on alcohol and unneeded medicines
The liver processes alcohol and many medicines. Cutting down alcohol is one of the most useful things you can do for it. Take medicines as your doctor advises, and avoid long-term use of painkillers without medical guidance.
Move every day
A short walk after meals supports digestion, and regular exercise helps keep body weight in a healthy range, which matters for the liver. Even 20 to 30 minutes a day helps.
About Livgestion
Livgestion is an Ayurvedic liver tonic that helps support liver health, digestion and appetite, in two forms. Livgestion Syrup (200 ml) lists herbs such as Bhumayamalaki, Bhringraj, Sarpankha, Hinsra, Triphala fruits, Trikatu, Kakamachi, Kalmegha, Kasani, Neem, Guduchi, Chitrak and Katuki. Livgestion Tablet (60 tablets) lists Patola, Triphala fruits, Neem, Guduchi, Karanja, Bhrungaraj, Kalmegh, Bhoi Amli, Vavding and Kadu.
Bhumayamalaki, Bhringraj and Katuki, which is also called Kadu, are the herbs traditionally linked with liver care. Triphala and Trikatu are classical combinations used to support digestion. Dosage is on each product page.
Making the most of your visit
Before you start Livgestion, write down the medicines and supplements you already take, any allergies, and any conditions you have been told about. Ask your physician three things: whether Livgestion suits you, how long to use it, and which signs mean you should stop and call. Bring the pack so the ingredient list can be read together. Ayurvedic medicines are meant to fit into your overall care, and your physician can adjust the plan if your needs change.
Habits matter more than any single product. Pick one or two changes from this guide, keep them for a few weeks and see how you feel. Small, steady changes are easier to keep than a long list.

When to see a doctor
Yellow eyes or skin, dark urine, pale stools, lasting pain in the upper right abdomen, persistent vomiting or unexplained weight loss need a medical check. If you have a known liver condition, ask your physician before adding any supplement.
